Colorado 03:37
Lit like a firecracker exploding in the breeze as I run uphill to find anything better Give me a chance please as I’m turned away again left with pockets full of nothing and despair Will I be going there without you / this doesn’t fit into a plan If I take that job in Colorado / I’ll probably never see your face again Started to pack my things I wonder what stuff I should bring on this never ending mission to be useful I’ll leave the pink slip here along with my family dear as I look for something like a silver lining What I find instead is simply frightening The clock keeps ticking away my odds get longer each minute I stay will someone answer when I call Just a tool for someone to use manipulate and abuse to be thrown away when they find something cheaper

Why does something so pointless carry so much meaning take so much effort may affect your future ... disproportionately Drowning in white noise confusing signals make a good impression I don’t know What do I do now what do I say nails on the blackboard all of this chatter ... just go away ... I don’t know how this nonessential communication is just how things are done nonessential communication Awkward glance at faces silence interrupted Hiding in the hallway running out the front door ... It’s all in my head ....

Liquid 04:20
Pull yourself together It’s more than just the weather As liquid seeps into spaces dry it makes for a restless night Watching as it rises Dreading the surprises that wait beneath the stairwell where the floor was once bone dry Feel the pressure changing it slaps you in the face Details are unsteady Lost Liquid goes where and when it wants to Liquid flows into all the places it’s not supposed to How high will it go now do we have the know how To take everything and make it safe when there is no high ground Come in for the landing there’s no point in pretending Water wings are what you’ll need when the shore is no longer dry Watching the horizon up all of the night Clarity of purpose Lost Leaden skies surround you congealing within sight The pools grow ever larger overnight The once-solid ground on which you stand sags under your own weight As you look through blurry eyes it’s too late

Inertia 03:54
Driving down a dusty road in a sleepy small town every morning is the same Didn’t say goodbye only reason why I’ll do it again tomorrow Inertia set me up to see the stars again Complex motion following an arc from here to who knows when It’s such an elegant dance to be except for the disconnected end and it’s over in a moment Driver never slowed crashing steel and glass blurred vision wrapped in flame violent motion tumbling trees mark an undefined horizon that’s breaking like the ocean I grip the wheel, disoriented, my consciousness starts to fade away revealing an inner peace, that slowly slips into a dream. I see my life go flashing by, but I fight to stay awake. Flashing red lights never said goodbye will I ever be the same I can’t walk away out of my control deep wounds are not apparent I’ll do it again tomorrow

(Let’s) take a walk to the river we could watch the water flow by Search the banks for a treasure could it be one of a kind I know a place where we can keep this It could be our little secret Our own piece of the sun (Into the chomosphere) We could search the world over and never find another Put the pieces back together never in the same order I know a place where we once kept this Is it still our little secret?
